LONDON - John Clare, the DSGi chief who oversees 1,000 stores in 14 European countries, says, "Three years ago I said Internet sales would account for 10% of our U.K. electrical sales "eventually" - maybe even in my lifetime. CeBIT 2008 To Change

According to Deutsche Messe, next year's "brand new CeBIT" will include more conference space, a reorganization of halls around the customer, and new schedule to allow four uninterrupted business days (Tuesday-Friday) before the show opens to the public on the weekend.

SanDisk Settles Patent Spat

Free to Sell MP3s in Europe
SanDisk has settled its patent dispute over MPEG audio technology by acquiring a license from Italy-based patent management company Sisvel. Last year at IFA, German customs police seized all Sansa players from SanDisk's stand after Sisvel won an injunction against the company.
